Mt. Bachelor Receives Early September Snow
Oregon's Mt. Bachelor received a light dusting of snow this week, providing a reminder of winter's approach after a challenging 2025-2026 season that ended prematurely in mid-April.
The snowfall, which occurred midweek, was similar to conditions experienced at several Canadian resorts. Although the accumulation was minimal, the resort's team humorously acknowledged the snow, sending an employee out for the first 'turns' of the new season.
While the official opening day for the upcoming season has not been announced, previous seasons typically begin in late November or early December. Snow is expected to continue through Friday, although it is unlikely to remain on the ground.
