Muggsy Bogues' Jersey to be Retired by Charlotte Hornets
Muggsy Bogues, recognized as the shortest player in NBA history at 5-foot-3, will have his jersey retired by the Charlotte Hornets. The ceremony is scheduled for February 11 during a home game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Bogues, who played 14 seasons in the NBA, spent the majority of his career with the Hornets after being selected in the 1988 expansion draft. He joins Bobby Phills and Dell Curry as the only players to have their jerseys retired by the franchise.
Throughout his career, Bogues averaged 7.7 points and 7.6 assists per game, contributing to the Hornets' success, including their first playoff series victory in 1993. He remains active in the community as an ambassador for the team.
