MVP Credits WWE Wellness Program for Saving Lives
AEW wrestler MVP has shared insights on the positive effects of WWE's Wellness program during a recent episode of Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze.
MVP noted that the program played a crucial role in eliminating the drug culture that previously existed in WWE's locker room, which he described as a significant issue when he started. He observed that many young wrestlers felt pressured to conform to this culture, but the introduction of the Wellness program changed that dynamic.
He emphasized that the program not only transformed the locker room environment but also saved lives, including his own. MVP was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome during a routine check-up, and a cardiologist stated that the Wellness program's provisions were instrumental in identifying his condition, which could have led to serious health risks.
