
MVP Discusses Timeline for Final Match and AEW Contract Length
Montel Vontavious Porter, known as MVP, has spent over 25 years in professional wrestling and is contemplating the end of his in-ring career. He recently shared his thoughts on a podcast, indicating that he anticipates his final match may occur next year, expressing a desire to step back from the physical demands of wrestling.
Currently, MVP has transitioned to a part-time role, focusing on managing wrestlers Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, collectively known as The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. He has participated in a limited number of matches alongside them, with the latest being a challenge for the World Trios Championships.
MVP confirmed that his contract with AEW extends until he is 57 years old, allowing him to continue in various roles, including management and consulting. He expressed a deep appreciation for his fans and the support he receives, while also emphasizing his intention to retire definitively when the time comes.
