NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Returns to Canada in 2027
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is set to return to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (CTMP) in 2027, with a race scheduled for Sunday, September 5. This marks the series' first race in Canada since the COVID-19 pandemic halted events in 2019.
Prior to the pandemic, the Truck Series had a consistent presence at CTMP, racing annually from 2013 to 2019. The venue has been known for thrilling finishes, including notable moments such as Chase Elliott's first national-level win in 2013 and a dramatic photo finish in 2014 between Ryan Blaney and German Quiroga.
Since 2019, no national NASCAR divisions have competed in Canada, with the only activity being the NASCAR Canada Series. The return of the Truck Series to CTMP is anticipated by fans who remember the excitement of past races at the track.
