NASCAR Cup Series Teams Face Inspection Challenges at Richmond

During pre-race inspections at Richmond Raceway, the No. 20 car of Christopher Bell and the No. 51 car of Cody Ware faced difficulties, initially failing twice before passing on their third attempt.

As a result of the inspection issues, car chiefs Clay Chris Sherwood from Joe Gibbs Racing and Dave Jone from Rick Ware Racing were ejected for the remainder of the race weekend. Both teams also lost their pit stall selections, which could be significant for Bell, who qualified eighth.

This weekend has been challenging for Bell, who was also scheduled to compete in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race but had to withdraw due to a postponement caused by bad weather.
