NASCAR Expands Practice Adjustments for O'Reilly Series Teams at Darlington

NASCAR has expanded the practice adjustments available to O'Reilly Auto Parts Series teams at Darlington Raceway this weekend by permitting changes to rear springs. This adjustment aims to provide teams with more options to improve their cars during practice sessions.

Previously, teams faced restrictions on the types of adjustments they could make, particularly since practice sessions were condensed during the Covid-19 pandemic. Typical adjustments included altering tire pressures or making minor changes to trackbars and shocks. However, significant part replacements had been largely prohibited, especially at the rear of the car.

The change to allow rear spring adjustments, which has been permitted under specific circumstances earlier this year, is seen as a positive development.
