NASCAR's Swear Jar Fines Increase After 245 Curses at Gateway Race

During a recent NASCAR Cup race at WWT Raceway, 245 instances of profanity were detected on team radios, prompting an increase in the league's swear jar fines.

The race featured 18 cautions, resulting in a total fine of $1,225, as NASCAR imposes a $5 penalty for each curse word. This brings the total amount in the swear jar to $2,340 after two races in the Chase series, with 468 swear words recorded so far.

The most frequently used curse word was f***, accounting for 235 of the total, followed by sh*t at 103. New entries in the swear rankings included bullsh*t and sh*tshow. Kyle Larson won the race, marking the end of a 51-race winless streak and narrowing the gap to championship leader Denny Hamlin.
