Natasha Hunt Aims for Lions Tour Comeback

England scrum-half Natasha Hunt is preparing for her comeback from injury as she looks forward to the inaugural British and Irish Lions women's tour to New Zealand, which is set to begin a year from now.

The 37-year-old, who has earned 89 caps since her debut in 2011, suffered knee ligament damage during the Six Nations opener against Ireland in April, sidelining her for the remainder of the tournament and Gloucester-Hartpury's campaign. She will start at nine in England's WXV Global Series opener against Australia in Salford.

Hunt expressed her excitement about the Lions tour, emphasizing that it is a significant motivation for many players aspiring to represent their countries. The tour will kick off on September 4 with a warm-up match against a Black Ferns XV, followed by three Tests against New Zealand. Coach Jo Yapp is expected to announce her squad in May 2027, after the Women's Six Nations.
