Natasha Thomas Aims to Leverage International Experience for Wrexham's Growth

Natasha Thomas, a forward for Wrexham Women, is optimistic that her international experience with Jamaica will aid the team's progress. She joined Wrexham from Ipswich Town in July and made an immediate impact by scoring in her debut during a 4-2 victory over FC Pyunik in the Women's Champions League qualifying round.

At 30 years old, Thomas has earned six caps and netted three goals for Jamaica since her first call-up in October 2024. She expressed her surprise at being selected for the national team, which was facilitated by her general manager at Ipswich, who recognized her eligibility. Thomas emphasized the significance of representing Jamaica, particularly for her family, as her grandparents were Jamaican.

Having spent over a decade at Ipswich, where she became the club's record appearance maker and top scorer, Thomas is excited about her new chapter at Wrexham. The club recently transitioned to semi-professional status and won the Welsh title, qualifying for the Women's Champions League.
