Nate Diaz Comments on Conor McGregor's Quick Comeback Loss
Nate Diaz has shared his thoughts on Conor McGregor's recent return to the octagon, which ended in a 69-second loss to Max Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11. McGregor, who had been out of action for five years, suffered a torn ACL after attempting a flying kick, leading to a quick TKO defeat.
Diaz, who has a storied rivalry with McGregor, expressed his sympathy for the former champion, stating he hopes McGregor recovers well and returns to form. He acknowledged McGregor's fighting spirit and mentioned his own aspirations to continue competing at a high level.
Following his own departure from the UFC after a victory over Tony Ferguson in September 2022, Diaz noted that McGregor is also nearing free agency, with the latter indicating he may not re-sign with the UFC after his current contract ends.
