Nathan Buckley Comments on North Melbourne Coaching Vacancy
Nathan Buckley, currently an assistant coach at Geelong, has expressed that he requires information from North Melbourne about their expectations for a new senior coach before contemplating the vacancy created by Alastair Clarkson's recent dismissal.
The Kangaroos are actively seeking a new coach after parting ways with Clarkson, who had one year remaining on his contract. Buckley, who has previously been linked to North Melbourne, has not yet been approached by the club regarding the position.
During an appearance on Fox Footy's On the Couch, Buckley emphasized the importance of understanding North Melbourne's desired attributes for a coach. He noted that the club must clarify what they are looking for in terms of development and performance. Buckley has also been a candidate for other coaching roles in the past, including positions with Melbourne and Tasmania, but ultimately remains committed to his role at Geelong.
