Nathan Rourke Set to Start for B.C. Lions Against Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Nathan Rourke, the quarterback for the B.C. Lions, is anticipated to start in the CFL game on Saturday against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at B.C. Place Stadium.

Rourke, who was named the league's Most Outstanding Player in 2025, suffered a shoulder injury during a game against the Edmonton Elks on July 17, which sidelined him for the remainder of that match and the following two games. The Lions recorded a 1-2 record during his absence but secured a victory against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last week.

In his five games this season, Rourke has achieved a completion rate of 71.3%, throwing for 1,403 yards and five touchdowns, while also facing four interceptions. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will start Harrison Frost, who took over for Tre Ford in their recent loss to Calgary, while veteran Bo Levi Mitchell continues to recover from ankle surgery.
