Nathan Sowter Signs Multi-Year Contract with Surrey for 2027 Season
Nathan Sowter, a leg-spinner from Durham and the England Lions, has signed a multi-year white-ball contract with Surrey, set to begin in the 2027 season.
The 33-year-old Australian-born bowler has played at the Kia Oval for the past five seasons in The Hundred, representing both the Oval Invincibles and MI London. Sowter expressed that moving to Surrey was a logical choice for him and his family, highlighting his roots in club cricket within the county.
Sowter began his professional career with Middlesex in 2015 after gaining recognition in club cricket for Normandy, a Surrey-based team. He joined Durham in 2022 and has achieved 196 wickets in 195 T20 matches, with experience in leagues such as the Caribbean Premier League and the International League T20.
