Nathaniel Wood to Face Undefeated Pavel Andrusca at UFC Paris

Nathaniel Wood has a new opponent for UFC Paris this Saturday following the withdrawal of Mairon Santos, the winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 32. Pavel Andrusca, an undefeated Moldovan fighter, has stepped in on short notice to replace Santos.

Andrusca enters the octagon with an 8-0 record, featuring seven finishes and six knockouts. The 24-year-old recently achieved a first-round victory over Gexipengchu at UAE Warriors 72 in July. He will be moving up a weight class for this fight, having spent his career competing at bantamweight.

Wood, ranked No. 8 in the featherweight division, is on a four-fight winning streak, having defeated notable opponents including Losene Keita and Daniel Pineda. This matchup may increase the pressure on Wood as he aims to defend his top ten ranking against a lesser-known but dangerous opponent. UFC Paris will take place at the Accor Arena, with the event headlined by Dan Hooker and Salahdine Parnasse.
