Navajo Stirling Enters UFC Light Heavyweight Rankings at No. 6
Navajo Stirling has entered the UFC light heavyweight rankings at No. 6 after achieving a knockout victory over Jan Blachowicz in under three minutes at UFC Belgrade on Saturday. This win positions Stirling in title contention, while Blachowicz's ranking has dropped significantly.
Stirling stepped in for an injured opponent with less than three weeks' notice and managed to secure a decisive victory against the veteran fighter, who has struggled recently with two losses and two draws since May 2022. Blachowicz, now ranked No. 10, faces challenges as he has been unable to lift weights due to discomfort.
Stirling shares his ranking with Corey Anderson, the PFL light heavyweight champion, and is just outside the top five as he continues to develop his career. His path to a title shot may be complicated by teammate Carlos Ulberg, who currently holds the UFC belt. Meanwhile, former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker has also entered the light heavyweight rankings after his recent win.
