NBA Teams Prepare for Training Camps with Open Two-Way Spots
As NBA training camps approach next month, several teams are still finalizing their rosters. Currently, thirteen teams have at least one open two-way roster spot, including the defending champion Knicks, who hold all three of theirs.
The teams with available spots include the Celtics, Nets, Bulls, Nuggets, Warriors, Grizzlies, Heat, Bucks, Pelicans, 76ers, Kings, and Wizards. Two-way players will earn $678,882 this season and can participate in up to 50 regular-season games, with teams allowed to have three two-way players alongside their standard 15-man roster.
Some teams are already looking to fill these openings. The Grizzlies have reportedly agreed to a two-way deal with Carson Cooper, pending roster adjustments, while the Bucks are expected to sign Rafael Castro. Additionally, several unsigned second-round picks, such as Tyler Nickel, Bryce Hopkins, and Lajae Jones, may also secure two-way contracts. With training camps about a month away, further roster changes are anticipated.
