Nebraska opened the tournament with a commanding 3-0 victory against UNLV at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday. Harper Murray, an outside hitter, led the Cornhuskers with 11 kills throughout the match. In the first set, Nebraska established an early 6-0 lead, ultimately winning 25-18, with both Murray and Teraya Sigler contributing five kills each.

In the second set, UNLV briefly led 3-2, but Nebraska quickly regained control, finishing the set with a 25-15 score after a strong 11-4 run. The final set saw Nebraska take a significant 15-5 lead, and they completed the sweep with a 25-16 win. Nebraska will face No. 2 Texas in their next match on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. PT.
