Nebraska Volleyball Aims for Redemption After Elite Eight Exit

The Nebraska women's volleyball team is looking to bounce back after an early exit in last season's Elite Eight, where they were defeated by Texas A&M. This loss marked the first time since 2002 that the Cornhuskers missed the national semifinals.

Finishing the previous season with a record of 33-1, Nebraska is determined to reclaim its status as a powerhouse in women's college volleyball. Under the leadership of second-year coach Dani Busboom Kelly, the team has retained key players and is entering the season as the top-ranked team in the nation.

Among the returning stars are outside hitters Harper Murray and Skyler Pierce, setter Bergen Reilly, and middle blocker Andi Jackson, all of whom contributed significantly last season. Nebraska has invested around $7 million in its roster for 2026, the highest in NCAA women's volleyball. The team will kick off its season against Texas, reigniting a fierce rivalry after their previous championship match.
