Negotiations Between Road Dogg and TNA Reportedly Stalled
Road Dogg, also known as Brian James, left WWE's creative team in March and was speculated to be joining TNA after the departure of Tommy Dreamer, the previous creative head. However, recent reports suggest that negotiations between James and TNA have stalled.
As of late June, James was not expected to assume the head of creative role left vacant by Dreamer, who was dismissed during what TNA described as a workforce reduction. Instead, Hunter Johnson, known as Delirious, is currently the head booker for TNA. James was anticipated to collaborate with Eric Tompkins, TNA's President of TV Production, to assist in producing content for TNA iMPACT and pay-per-view events.
James departed WWE following the release of the second season of WWE Unreal, which some fans felt portrayed him negatively. He later explained that his exit was due to the fast pace of the company. Currently, he has not publicly commented on his negotiations with TNA, and the promotion has not provided any updates.
