Netflix to Release Michael Schumacher Documentary on October 2, 2026

Netflix has confirmed that its upcoming documentary, Schumacher '94 - The Birth of a Legend, will be available worldwide on October 2, 2026.

This feature-length film centers on Michael Schumacher's journey during the 1994 Formula 1 season, highlighting his rise from underdog to world champion. The documentary will also address the tragic events of the 1994 Imola race weekend, which resulted in the deaths of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger.

Directed by Christin Freitag and produced by LEONINE Documentaries, the film will include insights from Schumacher's wife, Corinna, and others close to him. The documentary aims to capture the dramatic and pivotal moments of a season marked by both triumph and tragedy in Formula 1 history.
