Netherley Primary School Placed in Special Measures by Ofsted
Netherley Park Primary School in Liverpool has been placed in special measures by Ofsted following an inspection that revealed significant issues, including fighting and bullying among students.
The report highlighted regular incidents of arguing and poor behavior during lessons and breaks, prompting the need for urgent improvements in five key areas. Ofsted's chief inspector noted that the school was failing to provide an acceptable standard of education and lacked effective leadership to facilitate necessary changes.
Despite these challenges, the school has recently undergone a leadership change, with the new headteacher, Jill O'Brien, already addressing identified issues. The chair of governors, Meryl Sangare, acknowledged the report's difficult findings but expressed commitment to improving the educational environment for students.
