New Allegations Complicate Packers' Jacobs Situation Amid NFL Investigation
New police records have surfaced detailing allegations against Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs from three women, complicating his situation as he navigates NFL discipline. These records were released by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department and came to light two weeks after Jacobs returned to the field.
The allegations, which predate a May incident that led to Jacobs' arrest, include claims of physical abuse. One woman reported an incident from January 2022, stating Jacobs slapped her, took her phone, and physically restrained her. Another woman described being pushed against a wall and having her belongings thrown outside during an argument in April 2021. A third woman alleged that Jacobs dragged her and took her phone in May 2022.
Jacobs was arrested on May 26 and later convicted of misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property. He has since played two games for the Packers, accumulating 32 rushing attempts for 75 yards and one touchdown. Jacobs is currently in the third year of a four-year, $48 million contract, but the new allegations may impact his standing with the team and the NFL.
