New Beatles Fan Club Launches at Penn State
A new Beatles fan club is being formed at Penn State, initiated by sophomore Zoe DePaul, who aims to connect fans of the iconic band. The club has already attracted 42 members within its first month.
DePaul conceived the idea while organizing a Beatles movie night over the summer, realizing the potential for a larger community. She created an Instagram account to promote the club and gathered interest through a membership form, eventually recruiting two students for the executive board.
The organization is in the process of gaining official recognition from the university. DePaul envisions the club as a space for both casual listeners and dedicated fans to explore the Beatles' cultural significance through various activities, including listening parties, debates, and movie nights. She hopes to foster a welcoming environment for both longtime fans and newcomers.
