New CCTV Footage Released in Sam Rimmer Murder Investigation

Police in Liverpool have released new CCTV footage showing four males near a playground off Cockburn Street, approximately one hour before the fatal shooting of Sam Rimmer on 16 August 2022.

Rimmer, who was 22 years old, was shot at 23:40 BST on Lavrock Road when two individuals on electric bikes fired multiple shots at him and others. He was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve McGrath stated that the footage may help jog memories of those who might recognize the males by their clothing or bikes. Despite ten arrests made in connection with the case, no charges have been filed. A reward of up to £20,000 is being offered for information leading to a conviction.
