New Navi Mumbai Franchise to Join T20 Mumbai League

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced the opening of bids for a new franchise in the T20 Mumbai League, which will represent Navi Mumbai. This expansion will increase the number of teams in the league to nine.

This decision follows the successful completion of the league's fourth edition in June, which garnered significant spectator interest and showcased competitive matches. The addition of the Navi Mumbai franchise marks the first expansion since the league's inception.

Bidding documents can be obtained from the MCA office at Wankhede Stadium from August 10 to 25, with a non-refundable fee of ₹2.5 lakh required for participation. Payments can be made via Demand Draft or bank transfer as outlined in the tender notice on the MCA's official website.
