New Orleans Saints Sign WR Cedric Tillman to Practice Squad

The New Orleans Saints have signed wide receiver Cedric Tillman to their practice squad, enhancing their receiving options as they prepare for the 2026 season amid injury challenges.

Tillman, who is 26 years old, was recently released by the Cleveland Browns after they finalized their 53-man roster. He was a third-round draft pick in 2023, having played three seasons with the Browns, where he participated in 38 games and made 19 starts, accumulating 71 receptions for 833 yards and five touchdowns.

This signing comes as the Saints deal with injuries to key players, including first-round pick Jordyn Tyson, who is sidelined for at least four games due to a hamstring injury. Currently, the active roster includes Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele, along with rookies Bryce Lane and Barion Brown. At 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Tillman is noted for his ability to make contested catches and could be elevated to the active roster soon, especially given the team's need for reliable depth.
