New York Knicks Match 2011 Mavericks Record with Poor Season Start

The New York Knicks, who recently ended a 53-year championship drought, have begun their season with three straight losses, marking a troubling start for the defending NBA champions.

After raising their championship banner at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks lost their opening game to the Philadelphia 76ers and subsequently fell to the Orlando Magic, resulting in an 0-3 record. This performance ties them with the 2011 Dallas Mavericks for the worst start by a reigning champion.

Despite expectations of being a strong contender in the Eastern Conference, the Knicks have struggled to meet performance expectations. Historically, the Mavericks also faced difficulties following their championship win, raising concerns about the Knicks' potential trajectory this season.
