New York Knicks Sign Forward John Konchar to One-Year Deal

The New York Knicks have officially signed free agent forward John Konchar to a one-year contract, according to an announcement from his agency.

Konchar, who is 30 years old, previously played the majority of his NBA career with the Memphis Grizzlies before being traded to the Utah Jazz as part of a deal involving Jaren Jackson.

Throughout his career, Konchar has participated in 363 games, including 65 starts, averaging 4.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 34.9% from beyond the arc. Last season, he achieved career highs of 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while contributing 4.4 points and 4.3 rebounds over 56 games. The Knicks, fresh off their NBA Finals victory against the San Antonio Spurs, have retained most of their championship roster and added center Andre Drummond following Mitchell Robinson's departure to the Boston Celtics.
