Newcastle Red Bulls Prepare for Challenge Cup Match Against Scarlets

Newcastle Red Bulls head coach Dan McFarland is gearing up for a challenging match against Scarlets in the European Challenge Cup, scheduled for Saturday at 20:00 BST. This match marks a break from the team's current struggles in the Premiership, where they have lost all three games so far.

McFarland, who has extensive experience in the United Rugby Championship, acknowledges the strengths of the Scarlets, particularly their counter-attacking style and talented players. He highlighted the importance of player quality in Welsh rugby, despite the ongoing structural changes within the regions.

Newcastle has previously reached the last-16 of the Challenge Cup and McFarland aims for further progress this season. He expressed enthusiasm for the competition, drawing from his past experiences in Irish rugby.
