Newcastle Signs Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for £51 Million

Newcastle United has completed the signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for £51 million. The 21-year-old Belgian forward is noted for his explosive speed and power, qualities that his former coach Arnar Vidarsson believes will enable him to succeed in the Premier League.

Fernandez-Pardo, who transitioned from a winger to a more central forward role, scored eight goals in 11 games during his last season at Lille. Vidarsson highlighted that the player's ability to navigate tight spaces and accelerate past defenders is reminiscent of Premier League star Jeremy Doku.

Despite his promising career, there is some surprise regarding his move from Lille, especially after helping the team qualify for the Champions League.
