NFL Clears Zxavian Harris for Signing with Any Team
The NFL has announced that defensive tackle Zxavian Harris is now eligible to sign with any team, reversing its earlier decision. This change follows Harris's brief attempt to return to college football with LSU.
Harris, who previously played for Ole Miss and spent part of the offseason with the New Orleans Saints, had sought to join coach Lane Kiffin at LSU in August. However, the NFL determined that he did not engage in any football activities at LSU, allowing for the restoration of his professional eligibility for the current season.
Initially, both Harris and tight end Dae'Quan Wright were prohibited from visiting or signing with any team for the remainder of the 2026 season due to their interest in LSU. The memo detailing Harris's eligibility was sent to all NFL franchises on Monday, but it did not address Wright's status.
