As the 2026 NFL season approaches, fans are encouraged to share their feelings of optimism regarding their favorite teams. The Athletic's 2025 NFL Hope-O-Meter revealed that Denver Broncos fans entered the season with the highest level of confidence.

The Broncos, led by head coach Sean Payton and quarterback Bo Nix, achieved significant success, securing the AFC West title and earning the top seed in the AFC, although an ankle injury to Nix hindered their playoff run. In contrast, Minnesota Vikings fans, who had a strong 90.3 percent optimism score following a successful 2024 season, faced disappointment as their team missed the playoffs after winning only nine games.

Fans are now invited to participate in a survey to express their current optimism or pessimism for the upcoming season, with results and notable responses to be shared before the season begins on September 9.
