NFL Team Valuations Surge as Cowboys Lead the Pack
The NFL has experienced a remarkable increase in team valuations, with the average franchise now worth $9.34 billion as the league approaches the 2026 season. This represents a 31% rise from the previous year's average of $7.13 billion, the largest annual growth in over a decade.
The Dallas Cowboys continue to hold the title of the most valuable team, valued at $15.5 billion. They have consistently topped the rankings since Sportico began publishing them in 2020. In contrast, the Cincinnati Bengals, valued at $7.4 billion, remain the least valuable team in the league, despite their recent on-field successes.
This summer, the Seattle Seahawks made headlines with a record-setting sale of $9.6 billion, the highest in NFL history. The sale is set to be voted on by NFL owners on August 26. The New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons also saw significant increases in their valuations, while the Green Bay Packers experienced a notable drop in their ranking.
