TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth has shared his perspective on the recent controversy involving Avery Styles and GCW. The situation escalated after indie wrestler Arik Cannon criticized Avery Styles for not assisting with chairs at a GCW event, leading to a response from AJ Styles, Avery's father and WWE Hall of Famer.

During an appearance on Busted Open, Nemeth stated that he would have preferred Avery to confront the issue independently instead of having his father intervene. He emphasized the importance of establishing one's own identity in the wrestling world, rather than being seen solely as AJ Styles' son.

Nemeth also commented on differing opinions within the wrestling community regarding the incident, including those from other WWE Superstars like Cody Rhodes. He noted that while family dynamics play a significant role, it is essential for newer wrestlers to demonstrate their commitment to the business. As of now, Avery Styles has not publicly addressed the controversy.
