Nick Aldis Returns as WWE SmackDown General Manager

Nick Aldis has resumed his role as the General Manager of WWE SmackDown after competing at WWE SummerSlam 2026. This marked his first match in three years, where he faced Gunther and received a warm reception from the audience despite losing by submission.

Following the match, Aldis participated in a post-show interview and submitted his resignation letter. However, Triple H intervened, tearing up the letter and reinstating Aldis as the SmackDown GM.

Aldis joined WWE in 2023 as a backstage producer before transitioning to the GM role. His last match prior to SummerSlam was in 2023 at ACW Bluegrass Con, where he competed against several opponents.
