Nick Bosa Misses Practices Due to Knee Soreness and Tendinitis
Nick Bosa, a defensive end for the 49ers, has not participated in five straight practices due to knee issues.
Coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that Bosa is experiencing soreness as he recovers from a torn ACL in his right knee, with tendinitis also contributing to his absence. Shanahan noted that such symptoms are common for players returning from ACL injuries, affecting about 90 percent of them.
Bosa sustained his knee injury during a game against the Cardinals on September 21 and underwent surgery shortly after on September 26. The 28-year-old has struggled with injuries, playing only 17 games over the last two seasons and recording 11 sacks, with his last double-digit sack season occurring in 2023.
