Nick Cassidy Reflects on Title Near-Misses in Formula E

Nick Cassidy, a prominent driver in Formula E, has expressed his sadness over not yet securing a world championship title. The 31-year-old has achieved significant success in the all-electric racing series, including 12 wins and 30 podiums over six seasons, yet he has finished as a runner-up twice, in 2023 and 2025.

Despite his strong performance, Cassidy faces an uphill battle in the current 2025/26 season, sitting 42 points behind leader Jake Dennis with only 58 points available at the upcoming London finale. Cassidy noted that while he is proud of his achievements, including being the top driver in the Gen3 era, he feels disappointed about not winning the championship.

This season has been marked by inconsistency for Cassidy, who initially led the points standings after a victory in Mexico City. However, a series of non-scores in subsequent races has hindered his title aspirations. Cassidy acknowledged that while he has had impressive results, including five podium finishes, a lack of consistent top-five finishes has been a key factor in his missed opportunities for the championship.
