Nick Dal Santo Resigns as St Kilda AFLW Coach Amid Winless Season
Nick Dal Santo has resigned from his position as the AFLW coach of St Kilda after six seasons, following a disappointing start to the season where the team has not secured a victory in eight matches.
The decision came after a board meeting on Wednesday night, and Dal Santo's last match will be against Collingwood on Saturday. He expressed pride in the progress made during his tenure and emphasized his commitment to women's football.
St Kilda's CEO, Carl Dilena, acknowledged Dal Santo's significant contributions to the club, including leading the team to its first finals appearance last season. The club will now search for a new coach and conduct an independent review of its football program, led by Brad Lloyd, to identify areas for improvement.
