Nico Rosberg Praises George Russell's Return to Form in F1
Nico Rosberg has expressed confidence that George Russell has returned to peak form following a challenging first half of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
Russell faced difficulties early in the season, including issues during the Australian Grand Prix and setbacks from safety cars that affected his race strategy. Despite these challenges, he secured victories in Melbourne and the Chinese sprint race. His teammate, Kimi Antonelli, outperformed him, leading the standings with six wins in the first half of the season.
After the summer break, Russell showed signs of improvement by winning the Dutch sprint race and qualifying second for the Dutch Grand Prix. Rosberg noted that Russell's earlier struggles surprised many in the paddock, attributing them not only to bad luck but also to a lack of speed compared to Antonelli. Russell himself mentioned feeling more in tune with his car, expressing hope that his improved performance would continue in upcoming races.
