Nico Rosberg Supports Mercedes' Team Orders at Dutch Grand Prix
Nico Rosberg has expressed support for Mercedes' decision to implement team orders during the Dutch Grand Prix held at Zandvoort.
The race faced significant disruption early on due to a crash involving Max Verstappen, leading to a red flag. After the restart, Kimi Antonelli opted for soft tyres while George Russell remained on track. Mercedes instructed Russell to allow Antonelli to pass, a move that Russell initially contested, fearing it could jeopardize their chances for a double podium.
Rosberg, speaking on Sky Sports F1, acknowledged the difficult nature of the decision, citing the need for team strategy when faced with threats from rival teams. He noted that Russell ultimately recognized the team's rationale after the race, agreeing that Antonelli deserved to finish ahead.
