Nik Rokahr Makes History with Sandover and Margarey Medal Wins
Nik Rokahr has made history by becoming the first player to win both the Sandover Medal in the WAFL and the Margarey Medal in the SANFL.
On Monday, Rokahr secured the Margarey Medal with a commanding performance, earning 38 votes, significantly ahead of second-place Tom Lewis from Sturt Blues, who received 23 votes. This tally marks the highest under the 3-2-1 voting system since 1976.
Rokahr's successful season with Swan Districts in the WAFL saw him share the Sandover Medal with Claremont's Callan England, both finishing with 19 votes. After transferring to Norwood for the 2025 season, Rokahr's achievements continued, as he was also named rover in The Advertiser SANFL Team of the Year and received multiple awards, including the R.O Shearman Medal and The Advertiser Player of the Year Award. Norwood is set to compete in the grand final next week.
