Nikki Bella Discusses Abrupt End to WWE Heel Turn

Nikki Bella recently reflected on her heel turn in WWE, which ended unexpectedly due to a shift in the company's creative direction. During an appearance on Unseen with Joey Karni, she expressed her enthusiasm for playing a heel, stating it felt like a natural fit for her.

She explained that her heel character was abruptly altered when her sister Brie Bella returned ahead of the 2026 Royal Rumble. Nikki had been enjoying the storyline, which began with her betrayal of Stephanie Vaquer, but the plans changed when WWE decided to reunite The Bella Twins.

Although Nikki understood the reasoning behind the decision, she admitted disappointment at leaving a character she was enjoying. Following her injury, she has since returned to the ring, teaming up with Brie and Paige for a match against Fatal Influence at SummerSlam 2026.
