Nikki Cross Aims to Elevate PROGRESS Wrestling as Top Indie Promotion

Nikki Cross, a former WWE star known as Nikki Storm, has embarked on a new venture after her departure from WWE in April. In late May, she and her husband, Big Damo, purchased the UK independent promotion PROGRESS Wrestling, with their first show under new management taking place on June 7.

Cross expressed that the timing of the acquisition felt right, suggesting that it may not have occurred had she remained with WWE. Their ambition is to transform PROGRESS Wrestling into the top independent promotion globally, with a focus on providing opportunities for emerging talent in Europe, which she describes as a thriving market for professional wrestling.

Cross emphasized her desire to create an aggressive and intense wrestling style while developing engaging storylines. She also mentioned her intention to wrestle internationally, having monitored the independent wrestling scene for the past decade.
