Nikola Tsolov Completes 300km Test, Advances Toward F1 Super-Licence
Nikola Tsolov has achieved a significant milestone by completing 300 kilometres in a Racing Bulls car during a test at Imola, which is essential for obtaining a Formula 1 super-licence.
This test involved Tsolov driving the 2025 VCARB 02 as part of the team's testing program, marking his first substantial experience with modern Formula 1 machinery. Completing the required distance eliminates a major administrative hurdle in his super-licence application process.
While Tsolov's completion of the mileage does not guarantee a Formula 1 seat, it allows him to be considered for participation in upcoming F1 weekends. Currently racing for Campos in Formula 2, Tsolov has been frequently linked to Racing Bulls, which values having multiple young drivers available for future line-ups.
