
Nikola Tsolov Completes First F1 Test for Red Bull at Imola
Nikola Tsolov has finished his first Formula 1 test with Racing Bulls at Imola, as the team evaluates its driver options for the 2027 season. This test took place on Thursday, where Tsolov drove the VCARB 02, Racing Bulls' 2025 F1 car, completing 690km.
Team principal Alan Permane noted Tsolov's quick adaptation to the car and his composure during the test. This session is part of Racing Bulls' ongoing development program for junior drivers, aimed at providing them with essential experience in F1 machinery.
Tsolov aspires to become the first Bulgarian F1 driver and is competing for a spot in the Racing Bulls line-up against Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad. Meanwhile, Lawson was engaged in a Pirelli tyre test at Mugello, completing 116 laps with a best lap time of 1m22.297s.
