Nine AFL Players to be Re-Drafted After Delisting
Brisbane, Collingwood, Fremantle, Gold Coast, St Kilda, and the Western Bulldogs are set to re-draft nine players who were previously delisted, with the rookie draft scheduled for November 23.
Koby Evans and Luke Lloyd will return to Brisbane, while Collingwood plans to select Harry DeMattia. Riley Garcia, who faced injuries, will remain with the Bulldogs, and Fremantle's Jaren Carr is also expected to be re-drafted. Gold Coast aims to bring back forwards Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and Elliott Himmelberg, and St Kilda veterans Ryan Byrnes and Dan Butler are also in line for re-selection.
In addition to these nine players, another nine delisted athletes are vying for opportunities to return to their former clubs. Essendon, Hawthorn, and Carlton have offered summer training opportunities to their delisted players, while Geelong and Collingwood are considering re-drafting options depending on the draft's outcome. The upcoming delisted free agency period may allow rival clubs to pursue these players, although this is considered unlikely.
