Nishan Madushka Hit on Helmet During India-Sri Lanka Test

A troubling incident took place during the first Test match between India and Sri Lanka in Galle when Nishan Madushka was hit on the helmet by a sweep shot from KL Rahul. This event occurred on the last delivery of Prabath Jayasuriya's over, with Madushka positioned at short leg.

Despite attempting to protect himself by lowering his head, Madushka was struck directly on the helmet. Following the impact, the ball deflected towards fine leg, and although Rahul hesitated to run, he ultimately completed the run after Yashasvi Jaiswal had already crossed. Rahul immediately went to check on Madushka, who was attended to by the physio for concussion assessments before leaving the field.
