Nittany Lions Shine in NFL Preseason Week 3
The NFL preseason is progressing, featuring several former Penn State players making their mark on the field. In Week 3, these athletes demonstrated their skills as the regular season approaches.
Drew Allar, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, took over the offense in the second half but faced challenges, completing 11 of 23 passes for 110 yards without a touchdown in a 17-0 loss to the Jets. He did, however, impress with a standout 38-yard pass to his tight end.
Sean Clifford, quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, completed 10 of 15 passes for 126 yards, including a touchdown in a 27-9 victory over the Chicago Bears. Other notable performances included a touchdown catch by Pena and solid offensive line play from Nourzad, who allowed no pressures in his game. The preseason continues to highlight the talents of these former Nittany Lions as they transition into the NFL.
