North Melbourne Set to Sign Delisted Players Samson Ryan and Elijah Tsatas
North Melbourne is anticipated to sign Samson Ryan and Elijah Tsatas, both of whom were recently delisted, allowing them to continue their AFL careers in 2027.
Tsatas, a former Pick 5, played 22 games for Essendon since 2022 but struggled to secure a consistent midfield position. He spent much of his time in the VFL, as he was not favored by coach Brad Scott. Previously linked to North Melbourne while still under contract, he is expected to join the Kangaroos as a delisted free agent when the signing period opens on November 2.
Ryan, who played 31 games for Richmond over six seasons as a ruck-forward, is also likely to sign with North Melbourne. His departure from Richmond followed the arrival of GWS ruckman Kieren Briggs, and the Tigers are now focusing on draft prospects. North Melbourne's interest in Ryan aims to bolster their key forward and ruck positions, especially after several player departures this off-season, including Zane Duursma and Callum Coleman-Jones.
